The winter garden at Hillier's is one of the very best I have seen; beautiful all year round but particularly good from September through to March. Large spreads of sedum in shades of pink in autumn, backed by some amazing acres; ornamental grasses and striking dogwoods in winter; some lovely birches giving structure to the whole area; and an ever-increasing eclectic range of garden sculptures. It really is a treat and particularly when many other gardens have given up in late summer.
